Althought the purists bemoan the moving of The Petersen Classic, from 35th and Archer, the Pete will celebrate its 97th consecutive event this year.  It is held annually, from April to September.  With unique visual distractions, such as a score board suspened from the ceiling over all of the lanes to the lack of targets on the lane, the Petesen will be the most fun and challenge a bowler will have in his/her lifetime.  Hall of Famers and PBA players have won over the history of the event.  And, Pete Weber once shot a 104 game.  Now, this is a challenge with different lane conditions and sometimes different weighted pins in a deck that is off spot.  You can't rerack.  You need to bowl, with no warm-up. I have never had so much joy and pain in a tournament.  As some call it, it is 8 games of hell and extasy at the same time.  I include pictures and a description of the challenges in the attachment.  So, read on.... If you want the challenge of your lifetime, book a trip to Chicagoland area.  It is worth the trip.  In addition, a heavy wood no-tap tournament, The Lumberjack, is run at the same center over the course of the tournament event.

The greatest tournament in the world!!  The Petersen Classic, Hoffman Estates, Illionois, USA (near Chicago)
